Blood Group Fiction Shortcutz Amsterdam Annual Awards Nominated for best edit International Film Festival Rotterdam Official Selection 2020 New York Independent Film Festival Official Selection 2021 Limburg Film Festival Nominated For Best Short Film 2021 Danny lives in a rusty caravan in the middle of nowhere. His only contact with the outside world is through the football videos he uploads to YouTube. When his brother Brian shows up, he tells Danny their father is dying. Soon the ghost of Danny’s abusive father starts to haunt him. This is the second film director Daan Bunnik and I worked on, but definitely the more intense one of the two. From seeing his older works and having very open discussions about life in general, I got a good sense of Daan’s unique way of looking at the world. In the edit I tried to look at the more physical moments, the moments you would maybe normally look away from and do exactly the opposite. The other short we worked on, G.O.A.T. is a more lighthearted film and will have it’s premiere in 2025. "Daan Bunnik continues to explore the fragile mechanisms of family ties. In Denny’s character, he finds fertile ground for a claustrophobic narrative dominated by self-loathing and self-pitying that grows into a destructive force." Marina D.
